Cambio.com – Teen Talk

Posted by Emma on Apr 15, 2011 in News | 0 comments

On Wednesday I worked for Cambio.com on their new Teen Talk Show! It’s  a great platform for teens to express how they feel and express their opinions on particular subjects in current pop culture issues.

I did not know what to anticipate when going into the show on Wednesday and I didn’t even know who I would be working with! But the day went smoothly and the cast members are great! There is such great energy and I can’t wait to see what it will lead to in the future!

Unfortunately I can’t share the details with you guys yet, but as soon as I get the O.K., I will be posting the videos!

Stay Tuned.

This dress is part of Lauren Elaine’s ‘Prom’ collection. A dress that is sparkley and filled with sequence is sure to make a statement at your school dance!

The interviews are to follow!

Second Annual Women’s Week

Re-cap of the Lauren Elaine Fashion Show

Posted by Emma on Mar 16, 2011 in News | 0 comments

Monday night was incredible! Lauren’s venue, Castle Antiques, was filled with masked guests, antique furniture, and fine drinks. Everyone seemed to enjoy their time while the models strut their stuff down the runway wearing the LE creations. Thirty pieces were designed for this collection and Lauren looked to designers like Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa for her inspiration of the modern day ‘princess’.

Peter Young, creative director at IntaGems and Diamonds, and crown jeweler for Miss California USA,  joined my mom and my manager Beth McIntosh at the event! I am wearing IntaGems and Diamonds jewels on the red carpet!

I am so thankful to have been involved in Lauren’s project and I can’t work with her on other future creations!

KALI FM 103.1 Cheesecake Day

Posted by Emma on Mar 4, 2011 in News | 0 comments

Crust:
1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
4 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
5 tablespoons melted butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Batter:
16 oz (2 large packages) cream cheese, room temp
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream or sour cream
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla Bean Crush or vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon zest (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

To Make the Crust:
Stir together the crumbs, salt, and melted butter. Press into the bottom and about 1/2″ up the sides of an 8″x8″ square pan. Freeze for 15 minutes if using a metal pan (not necessary if using ceramic or glass), then bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until set; the color won’t change much. Remove from the oven and cool. Reduce the oven temperature 325 degrees F.

To Make the Batter: Blend the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add the cream, eggs, vanilla, lemon zest, and lemon juice; mix until combined. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl as you mix. Spoon the batter into the cooled crust.

Bake the bars for 30-40 minutes, until the filling is set but soft in the middle. Remove from the oven, and cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Just before serving, top with fresh berries, fruit pie filling, or whipped cream.
Yield: 16 Servings!
Enjoy!

Kyle rated this a 5 out of 5 stars!

I’ll have to be just as impressive next Friday!

Stay tuned.
